Contenders Basketball

Contenders Basketball is a year long basketball club for men who are focused, determined, and passionate about the game. Contenders Basketball consists of fast-paced 4 on 4 games played at School of the Holy Child in Rye, NY.

All players must be 40 or older and have some prior experience with the sport. To ensure that the league is comprised of teams of a similar skill level, Rob Forcelli personally screens pre-organized groups to ensure parity.

Games are played on Saturday mornings between the hours of 6:30AM and 9:30AM at School of the Holy Child in Rye, NY. There are two twenty minute halves with a running clock. Each squad contains 6-7 men in total. Rosters range from 6-10 men per team.

The competition is fierce, aggressive, exciting, and energetic. All players will benefit from an intense physical workout while simultaneously enjoying the cohesion created through working together in a spirited environment. Poor attitudes are not tolerated and good sportsmanship is emphasized. Winning is what most competitors strive to achieve in this challenging atmosphere; however, getting a great sweat, having fun, and  building relationships are the principles at the forefront of Contenders Basketball.

To further enhance the program and make it stand out, Rob Forcelli gives his personal touch and continual dedication. He keeps track of team standings and records detailed statistics of each individual member’s performance. All players receive personalized jerseys for the season.

Contenders Basketball consists of a group of highly motivated men interested in a competitive league experience. It is intended for serious athletes who aren’t afraid to give their best effort in an exhilarating and intense setting.
