Before The Contender Workout I was a size 10. I’m now a size 6 and I just feel great. I think it was very empowering for me as a woman in starting a program like this in my 40s. I found that I just didn’t think I was this strong. Physically, everything just changed. My body structure started to look different, inches came off that had never been “off” before. I had just never seen these inches off in years, maybe twenty-two years! Everything just started to look different, pounds came off and inches just went away. Before, if I had a tight pair of pants on the shirt would have been untucked down to here. Last summer for the first time in twenty-two years I put on a bikini. After my second baby was born, it wasn’t as easy for me to get back into shape. The things I had done after my first baby weren’t quite working.

I lost some of the weight but I still had a good thirty-five pounds to go. The weight that I had was in different places, things were shifting, sagging. I didn’t want to put on my bathing suit, the summer was coming and I was very uncomfortable. My self-esteem was low and I was stressed out. I had a lot on my plate and I didn’t have a lot of time to work out. I’m 41-years old. I’ve tried a lot of different things. The Contender Workout was really the most challenging and effective for me. The older I got the harder it was to lose weight and I really didn’t think there was ever going to be anything that could force me through the barrier to lose weight and get back in the shape I was in when I was young. The reason I started The Contender Workout was that after playing college basketball, I needed to take some time off to recoup. I put on some weight. I was completely out of shape. I wasn’t happy with myself so all these factors combined to kind of decrease my self-esteem. Overall I wasn’t happy and my mom actually suggested that I join The Contender Workout and so I did. It was great! It gave me confidence where I had really lost a lot of my confidence when I stopped playing sports. In order to start this type of workout it’s very simple. The moves are simple, which is what I love. They are easy to learn, they’re easy to get into, they’re easy to follow, and the workout combination is perfect. The structure is really good, it’s a combination of everything, legs, arms, boxing, cardio, jumping jacks, everything. It’s a great structure. You don’t have to be an athlete to do it. You just have to be able to follow someone on the screen. It’s just so easy to do.

With The Contender Workout I lost 23lbs and went from a size 6-8 to a size 2-4. I went from having a soft squishy body to a rock hard athletic looking one! The feeling is amazing. When I started The Contender Workout everybody noticed there was a change in my body and everybody also knew that through the years I had tried every workout there was. The Lori in the photo did not like to take photos at all, because every time she looked at a photo of herself she felt disappointed. She did not like what she saw. Then as I started doing this program and my body started to change and the weight started to come off… naturally you start feeling better about yourself. You do your hair differently; you do your make-up differently, go and buy new clothes with a smile knowing everything is going to look great. Now if somebody wants to take a picture of me I’m very excited about it. I can’t wait to see what it will look like. That follows through with my whole life, not just photos. I don’t feel fearful of doing things. I just feel confident. I just go for it and I’m very happy The Contender Workout came into my life!

Prior to The Contender Workout I struggled with different exercise programs and different nutritional regimens. I never thought I’d be in this shape at age 61. I wish Rob was around when I was playing high school football because I think I’m in better shape now than I was then! Aerobically, he pushes you. In my case I thought being in shape was going to the gym and lifting weights. My doctor told me that if I did not want to have a stroke or a heart attack by the time I’m 40 years old, I had to do something about my weight.
